A little bit about……..
PAVERPOL FABRIC SCULPTURES
Paverpol is a non-toxic, water based fabric hardener from the Netherlands. It is available in several pre-mixed colors and there are also over 20 powdered colors that can be mixed with transparent Paverpol to give you endless choices.
Using various combinations of electrical wire, copper tubing, metal rods, wood, tin foil, and old cotton t-shirts and sheets you can create just about anything that you can imagine! From demure ladies to those that are sassy, it’s all possible. You can make sitting figures, standing figures as well as larger pieces such as herons, giraffes etc.
Paverpol mixed with Paverplast can be used to make waterproof bowls, fountains, & bird baths. Paverpol on its own when correctly used is also weatherproof and all pieces can be placed outside after a suitable curing time.
I took my instructor’s certification with Annet Holierhoek in Chilliwack, B.C. in April 2009 and along with Gloria Tewnion am offering workshops in Kamloops and surrounding areas. We are available for travel teaching and would love to bring Paverpol to your area.
Paverpol is lots of fun, kind of messy, and the possibilities are endless. There is no experience required to take a class and you just need a bit of imagination to turn out great pieces.
All classes offered can be completed in a day or less – you don’t need to commit to several days or evenings to have a finished piece! Basic supplies needed to take a class are an old 100% cotton t-shirt, tin foil, & disposable gloves. Any other specific supplies needed for a class will be forwarded at the time of registration.
Hope to see you soon at a class or seminar!
