Welcome to my website featuring classes and supplies for two great techniques – Ink & Oil Rouging and Paverpol Fabric Sculptures.
I was born in Vancouver. B.C. where I spent most of the first 35 years of my life. In 1988 my husband and I and our 2 daughters moved to Courtenay on Vancouver Island. Shortly thereafter I developed a strong interest in decorative painting and attended many classes and several painting conventions. In 2002 I became a certified One Stroke teacher after spending 5 days studying with Donna Dewberry. Lots of classes and workshops were held in Courtenay, Campbell River, Gold River and Powell River teaching people the One Stroke technique.
In 2003 after taking a one day workshop in Ink & Oil Rouging I was hooked and immediately signed up for a 5 day course with Mary Owens of Lockport, New York to learn all I could about her fabulous technique. Once again I became certified to teach and along with my friend Kitty we put on all sorts of classes in the Comox Valley, Campbell River, & Powell River. Many great friends were made!
In 2007, our 2 daughters all grown and with 5 grandchildren, we once again pulled up stakes and moved to Kamloops, B.C. I was fortunate to find a home with a studio and proceeded to advertise Ink & Oil Rouging classes. What a reception! I have since travelled to Logan Lake, Clearwater, Vernon, Parker Cove, Vanderhoof, and Prince George putting on seminars. I have also been honored to be able to bring Mary Owens out from New York 3 times to put on seminars.
In 2009 while browsing the internet I came across Paverpol and Annet Holierhoek who is the Canadian Importer for Paverpol products. I was hooked and in April 2009 attended a 3 day teacher’s workshop with my friend Gloria Tewnion. We are looking forward to lots of great classes using Paverpol!
